The reversible Boro Box Bag is fun to make and so beautiful
This is a useful and fun-to-make bag pattern, perfect for keeping your latest sashiko or boro inspired project when you travel.

2 x (5½in x 15in) pieces of sarashi (muslin) base fabric for boro,
you can also use any very fine cotton fabric. This fabric is the base on which to place your patches.
2 x (5½in x 15in) contrasting fabric to go with the worked boro pieces
2 x (5in x 14½in) of two contrasting fabrics ( S253 and OL100 series in the example) for the reverse side of the bag (4 pieces) (you can make another boro inside)
4 x (5½in x 15in) pieces of lightweight fusible interfacing
Fabrics from your collection for boro inspired work ( tsumugi fabrics used in the sample)
Long sashiko needle
Sashiko thimble
1.5 mx 3 mm waxed cotton cord, cut into 2 equal lengths
8 x koki to attach to top of bag (synthetic koki used in sample)
2 x (1¾in x 2¾in) pieces of flower fabric at ends of cords
