This collection of kasuri fabrics come from Shimogawa Orimono, a weaving factory located in Yame Town, Fukuoka.

Kasuri is produced by dyeing the threads before weaving, unlike fabrics on which the patterns are printed after their design. Kasuri is characterised by patterns with blurred edges, which gives it a somewhat rustic appearance.
