Azumino-momen
Azumino-momen fabrics are piece-dyed in the azumino district of Japan (momen means cotton). Before they are placed in a small pot for dying the fabrics go through a process to create a natural wrinkle finish. Azumino-momen is ideal for sashiko, embroidery, garments, quilts and bags.

Sarashi muslin
Sarashi muslin is a soft, lightweight muslin made from 100% cotton. It is the same fabric that our sashiko samplers (hana fukin) are printed on, so it is perfect for backing hana fukin or making your own.

Tsumugi
Japanese tsumugi cotton fabrics are of exceptional quality and their distinctive yet subtle textures give them versatile function. Tsumugi are yarn-dyed shot cotton, with the warp thread one colour and the weft thread always black. They are perfect for sashiko stitching and for making clothes, bags, tablerunners and quilts.
