Vase of flowers, instructions for a beautiful embroidery project

Finished size approx. 35cm x 50cm. 

Requirements : 

Please note: All textiles including fabrics and threads used in this project are supplied by Olympus Thread and are available at BeBe Bold. The references detailed in the requirements relate to
textiles used in the sample.

For the background: 46cm x 55cm (18in x 22in) mustard fabric (Azuminomomen #59) 46cm x 55cm  and (18in x 22in) woven iron-on interfacing (G710 Vilene)


Fabric requirements for flowers:

Light purple: 12in x 4in (Azuminomomen #5)
Grey: 24in x 4in (Azuminomomen #31)
Moss green: 24in x 4in (Azuminomomen #58)
Dark purple: 24in x 4in (Azuminomomen #14)
Mustard the same as the background 4in x 4in (Azuminomomen #31) Teal: 12in x 4in (Azuminomomen #18)
Ecru: small check 24in x 4in (OL-104A)
Blue/teal multi check: 12in x 4in (S-253B)

80cm of double sided fusible web: Vliesofix or Steam-A-Seam2 cut 4 x (12in x 4in), 3 x (6in x 4in) and 1 x (2in x 4in) (half the size of the fabric pieces)


Sashiko threads for embroidery in both standard and fine weights:
Standard weight: shaded brown (#94), brown (#3), orange (#4) and mustard (#5) used to stitch
stems. Shaded (#98) is used to stitch vase and to appliqué the moss green flowers.
Fine sashiko threads: white (#201), orange (#204), yellow (#216), light blue (#208), purple (#219),
airforce blue (#209) and blue (#210)


You can back the piece first with a fine iron-on interfacing called G 710 from Vliseline  as it is soft and easy to stitch through.
