Sarasa was a popular printed fabric imported to Japan in the early Edo period, and Japanese master printers adapted their skills to create their own version of Sarasa. Today, the colors and patterns used in Sarasa fabrics are inspired by fabrics in vogue throughout our history. This fabric has been produced by combining traditional Japanese weaving and dyeing methods with today's cutting-edge technology.
