2022-2023 BEBE BOLD SASHIKO BLOCK OF THE MONTH

This Mystery Block of the Month is a Traditional Sashiko Tsumugi quilt with a little twist designed by Jane MacDonald

Quilt Size approximately 165cm x 190cm (65in x 75in). The quilt could quite easily be made larger if you decided to add more at the end of the program.

I have kept this quilt design quite simple to show off the 32 traditional blocks. I’ve also included some easy appliqué and method to transfer sashiko stitched shapes on the border. I felt it an important and easy skill to learn so that you will be able to transfer any sashiko pattern you like.

Included in this BOM are all the fabrics for the quilt top including the pieced border, binding, instructions, sashiko thread, sashiko needles, chaco paper and thimble.

Requirements: Backing and wadding 

Pre-stencilled tsumugi cotton fabric is used to make this quilt which is 100% made in Japan.

Due to shipping cost rise there will be 6 mail outs containing each 2 section of the quilt.

The monthly cost of this subscription is 22€ for customers located in France 25€/month for European Union and 27€/month for the rest of the world (shipping included)

Starts late summer 2022, for a duration of 6 mail-outs. 2 set of blocks per 2 month. The 6th and final mail out will include the border and method to put the quilt top together.
If you want to add other items such as fabric for backing and wadding to complete your quilt at the end of the program, we can add them to the final mail out. A reminder will be sent in time.

Basic skills in patchwork and quilting are assumed in the instructions, a facebook group will be organised to share your journey through the making of this beautiful quilt
